How do I get started with an organizer?We will set up a complimentary 30-minute introductory session to assess your organizing goals and identify any pain points. During this session, I’ll provide a general estimate of how long your project might take and answer any questions you may have.

Do I need to be present for the sessions?If your project involves decluttering, then yes — your presence is required. Together, we will systematically and thoughtfully go through your items to determine what to keep, donate, or discard. Once we transition into the organizing stage, I can continue the project independently; however, you are more than welcome to work alongside me if you prefer. Your input will be essential during goal-setting, any necessary downsizing, and the selection of storage solutions. The ultimate goal is to create a space that is both functional and maintainable for you.

Do I need to buy anything before we start?No, most projects begin with a decluttering phase. Once that is complete, I’ll have a much better understanding of what, if anything, may be needed to support the next steps of the project.

I'm so embarrassed . . .While this isn’t a question, it’s a common sentiment I often hear when chatting with new clients. Please know that my goal is to assist you in a thoughtful, non-judgmental way. I understand that belongings hold value and sentiment in many different ways, and we will move at a pace that feels right for you. When the project is complete, I’m confident you’ll be delighted with your newly organized space. Additionally, please rest assured that no photos will be taken or shared without your consent, as outlined in the Service Agreement.

How long will my project take?Every project is different so we will chat and determine which package is best for your project.

What happens to all my donations?There are a couple of convenient options for handling your donations: Scheduled Pick-Up: I can arrange a pick-up date and time from your home. I’ll email you the details, and it will be your responsibility to place the items outside on the scheduled day. Drop-Off Service: I can drop off one carload of donations per session and provide you with a tax receipt upon request.

What happens if some items require special disposal?If any of your items require special handling—such as shredded paper, paint cans, batteries, electronics, or hazardous materials—I’m here to help. I can provide guidance on the proper disposal methods and, in many cases, assist with coordinating drop-off or pick-up at the appropriate facilities. These types of items often accumulate over time, so part of my service includes being a reliable resource to help you responsibly clear them out.

Who buys the organizational bins if needed?Two options: 1. I can take care of purchasing the bins for you. You’ll be charged the exact cost of the items, plus my hourly rate for the time spent shopping. 2. If you prefer to shop on your own, I’m happy to send you customized links to bins and products that are best suited for your specific project.

What if I don't want to buy organizational bins?No problem at all! It’s amazing how many items you already own can be repurposed to create functional and attractive organizing solutions. This approach is not only budget-friendly, but also a fun and creative way to personalize your space while staying organized.

Are bins and organizing products included in the package and hourly pricing?Bins and other organizing products are not included in the package or hourly organizing rate. If you’d like me to handle the shopping, I will charge you the exact cost of the items plus my hourly rate for shopping. Alternatively, if you prefer to shop yourself, I’ll provide a curated list of product links tailored to your specific project needs. Basic labeling is included in the package and hourly pricing. There are some basket labels, for instance, that are extra.

Do you install custom closet units etc?While I don’t, I’m happy to refer you to a trusted professional for any installation needs beyond basic organizing. That said, I’m more than happy to assemble simple items—such as shelves or small storage units—that support the organizing process.

What do I do between sessions?The short answer: nothing—just enjoy the progress we’ve made! However, if you prefer to stay involved between sessions, I’d be happy to create a simple “homework” list tailored to your goals. This can help move the process along and keep the momentum going. Let’s chat and decide what works best for you.

How can I keep it maintained when we are all done?It's important to remember that your home is a home because it's being lived in, not a staged set. Throughout the process, I'll implement systems that will help you maintain organization long-term. My mantra is: everything should have a place. When items have a designated spot, it's much easier to keep everything organized. I’d be happy to discuss ways you and your family can stay organized. Additionally, clients can periodically book a maintenance package to ensure things stay on track.

Will you clean my house?I don't provide house cleaning services; however, I will do light cleaning as it relates to facilitating the organizational process. I can promise your house will be easier to keep clean after all is said and done.

What is your service area?I am based in the Bloomfield Hills, Birmingham, Beverly Hills area in Oakland Country and service Oakland County, Macomb County and Wayne County. Various cities include: Auburn Hills, MI; Beverly Hills, MI; Birmingham, MI; Bloomfield Hills, MI; Clarkston, MI; Commerce Township, MI; Dearborn, MI; Detroit, MI; Farmington Hills, MI; Grosse Pointe, MI; Keego Harbor, MI; Northville, MI; Novi, MI; Orchard Lake, MI; Plymouth, MI; Rochester Hills, MI; Royal Oak, MI; Southfield, MI; St. Clair Shores, MI; Sterling Heights, MI; Troy, MI; West Bloomfield, MI; and Wixom, MI. I will service all cities in the Metro Detroit area within a 30-45 minute radius of my home in Beverly Hills. I will travel outside of this radius; however, there will be a travel fee per session and sessions will be booked in longer increments (6 hours vs. 4 hours).

Do I pay before or after the work is completed?In order to reserve a slot on my calendar, I require full payment up front for packages, and payment the day of for hourly projects.
